Architecture & Purpose

What auto.allops.us Does

auto.allops.us is a private, self-hosted deployment of n8n (a leading open/fair-code workflow automation system) hosted within a private Kubernetes cluster. It is used exclusively for internal personal productivity, operational monitoring alerts, and notification routing.

1. Fetching Alerts

Connects to the authorized user's Gmail inbox to query and retrieve automated system notification messages, billing summaries, and infrastructure health reports.

2. Message Parsing

Extracts key operational telemetry, error codes, and time stamps from the email body using deterministic workflow node transformations.

3. Secure Forwarding

Dispatches formatted summary notifications to the owner's private endpoints or forwards prioritized emails to designated internal backup destinations.

Scope Transparency

Requested Google OAuth 2.0 Scopes

In accordance with data minimization principles, auto.allops.us requests only the minimum necessary scopes required to operate the workflow automation.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonlyRestricted Scope

Justification: Required to query and read designated incoming automated emails (e.g. infrastructure status notifications and uptime reports) matching configured workflow filters.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modifyRestricted Scope

Justification: Required to apply internal mailbox labels (e.g., “Processed-By-AllOps”) to prevent duplicate workflow executions on subsequent polling cycles.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.sendSensitive Scope

Justification: Used strictly when a workflow rule dictates automated email forwarding or sending synthesized digest reports to the owner's designated destination addresses.
